Design
The initial plan for this project was to design something that would blow the selection committee away, something to rival IRONMAN’s own website. The heavy use of parallax and color-blocking helped achieve exactly what was hoped for.

Concept
Having lost this bid a few years earlier, we opted to be a bit more creative in the approach. So instead of a standard reply to the questions asked in the RFP, this website presents the bid as the top ten reasons IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship should come to St. George. The creativity paid off and the event will be coming to the area in 2021.
Dual Use
Now that the competition for the event is over, the site has been converted to a public-facing marketing tool for the event. Triathletes planning to travel to the area can find all the information they need.
